About me

Hi, I’m Vaida!

I’m the author and creator of Minimonai and I love creating new formulations, trying new things and digging deeper into cosmetic science. I have a bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and a master’s degree in Applied Chemistry which built the foundation of my understanding everything I know about science and how things work.

I grew up in Lithuania and still live here with my husband, two kids and a cat. I love being outdoors especially in spring when everything is blooming and in autumn when trees develop so many beautiful colors.

As far as I remember I have struggled with my skin for quite a while and nothing actually worked for me, so during my master’s years I have delved into cosmetics – I wanted to know how everything was made, why certain ingredients were used and how to make my own versions that would suit my beliefs.

I wanted to use greener, cleaner cosmetics that were vegan and not tested on animals (this kind of cosmetics was hard to get) and it turns out it is way easier to do than I thought. And I want to share all my knowledge with you!

Here are some of my latest creations!

Facial oil with safflower, marula and pracaxi oils
